Sasha Banks Cleared For Elimination Chamber And A Couple Of Bad Bets

WWE has announced that Sasha Banks has been cleared to wrestle at the Elimination Chamber event this Sunday.

A tweet, that has just been sent by the official WWE account, reads 'After undergoing additional rehab on her shoulder, Sasha Banks has been CLEARED to compete in the WWE Women's Tag Titles Elimination Chamber Match this Sunday'.

This was kind of a kayfabe cover story for a real injury that has prevented Banks from wrestling since her loss to Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble. The company has evidently been protecting Banks for the past couple of weeks on TV as there have been storyline reasons used for her not to wrestle in matches alongside Bayley.

Dave Meltzer noted on this morning's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Banks has been given clearance. I wish I had listened to it this morning because I thought I'd make a £1 speculative punt on Sky Bet's 100/1 for Sasha and Bayley to be the last entrants to enter the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday.

I was gambling on some sort of in-show storyline to play out that would remove the Boss and Hug Connection from being one of the starting teams in the match in case they needed Sasha to do less work on Sunday.

I would say it was the worst bet I've placed in the past week, but that would be a lie.

The other day, I thought I'd have a punt on LeBron James making an appearance at WrestleMania. I thought the 66/1 odds were worth a pound, so placed the wager before thinking it through properly.

After doing so, I decided to check out the Los Angeles Lakers' schedule for April 7th and noticed they are hosting the Utah Jazz that night!
