WWE Roster Shake Up (2019) Betting

As I mentioned last night, the Kambi oddsmakers have started to take bets on the WWE's roster shake up that is currently scheduled to take place in mid-April.

Customers of the sportsbooks with Kambi's markets were able to find three similar specials where customers could place wagers on certain names moving to a different brand during the shake up. The first market contained wrestlers from NXT, the second included names from Raw and the third had stars from the Smackdown roster.

The customers had the option to bet whether their choices move rosters or not by backing the 'Yes' or 'No' selections available to them.

Kambi took down the markets last night, but I presume they'll return following this week's TV shows. In the tables below, you'll find all of the earlier odds from when the specials launched yesterday.

My bets were on two Smackdown stars moving over to Raw.

When I first came across the market, I thought I'd have a speculative punt on Daniel Bryan as he was 5/1 to move from Smackdown. I feel the obvious reason why his price to stay is so short at 1/12 is because he's the current WWE Champion.

I expect the title will stay with the brand, but not sure if it'll still be with Bryan around that time because WWE will likely be preparing for its May 3rd show in Saudi Arabia.

If Bryan still does not want to revisit the country, and I don't think there has been any improvements made to justify him changing his mind, there is a chance the title will be on somebody else in time for there to be a WWE Championship match on the card.

It was mainly a play at the odds on offer but, as you can see in the last three paragraphs, I tried to convince myself that it was worth a punt.

The other name I backed was Randy Orton at 3/1. There's not much reasoning I can add to that one other than that I liked the price.

I'm sure others would be keen to back AJ Styles to move over to Raw.  I don't blame them, I just didn't like the odds enough to justify having a bet.

I don't know when the markets will be republished for sure. When they do, you can compare the prices above to see how they've changed.
