Matt Hardy Odds, Betting On Cena And More

In a post published yesterday, I noted that WWE had began to reveal more participants for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and wrote down the prices that were available from Sky Bet. In this post, I pointed out that Matt Hardy was not available. Well, he is now.

He is currently priced at 66/1. This means that all of the runners that have currently been announced for the match are now covered by the bookie.

While I'm on the topic of the battle royal, I may as well mention that I have backed another wrestler to win the match. Before I do so, I should preface that I still believe this is Braun Strowman's match to lose because of his involvement with the celebrities. However, there was something Dave Meltzer wrote in his website update yesterday that triggered an idea.

The newsletter editor wrote the following about John Cena's status for WrestleMania:

'Regarding John Cena, there is a deal on the table that Cena is expected to agree to for a match for WrestleMania. It is not with Kurt Angle.'

Just like I did a few weeks back when trying to work out where Braun Strowman could fit on the WrestleMania 35 card, I concluded the battle royal.

I looked through his price and he was 125/1 at Sky Bet, Betfair and Paddy Power so thought I'd take a gamble.

Like I wrote above, I strongly believe that Braun Strowman is the guy to beat. I have now covered the following selections: Strowman (obviously), Colin Jost, Michael Che, Rob Gronkowski and now Cena.

That should be enough.

With Cena looking to be absolutely out of a match with Kurt Angle, I had a look at Sky Bet's special in which customers can place wagers on the person who will compete against the Olympic gold medalist in his farewell match.

Cena is still a 2/5 favourite. The advertised opponent - Baron Corbin - remains an 11/8 second-favourite.

Since the last update about this market, Finn Balor has moved out from 16/1 into 20/1 and Matt Riddle is now up from 14s into 20/1.

The Undertaker has lowered from 12/1 into 10/1.
