The latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now been published.
This edition features Dave Meltzer's review of the first night of the G1 Climax. Those who backed Kambi's Over/Under star ratings markets might be keen to know the result of the two matches that were covered by the bookies.
Focusing only on the matches that had Over/Under markets available for night one, we have:
The Kota Ibushi versus KENTA match was given four-and-a-quarter stars by Meltzer. This fell under Kambi's line by quarter of a star.
The winning selection was available at odds of 3/4 from June 26th right up to the night of the event.
Night one's main event - which saw Kazuchika Okada claim the two points against Hiroshi Tanahashi - was also graded below Kambi's line.
The oddsmakers had their estimate at 4.75 stars. The result was once again a quarter of a star below.
As you can see below, the correct selection of 'Under 4.75 Stars' was available at EVS right up to the night of the event.
The tournament resumes on Saturday with the first round of B Block matches.
