Betting markets for the two matches that have been announced for WWE SummerSlam 2019 have been published.
Sky Bet's oddsmakers have installed WWE Universal Champion - Brock Lesnar - a 1/2 favourite to successfully retain his title against former champ, Seth Rollins.
A win for the challenger will pay out at 6/4.
The other match set for the August event will see Becky Lynch defend her WWE Raw Women's Championship against Natalya.
Sky Bet has Lynch at 1/3 to Natalya's 9/4.
IMO I think Rollins also has good chance to win. They are building him up as Face of the company
ReplyDeleteBut WWE kinda teased something between Lesnar and Ricochet where Brock had a deadly look when Ricochet made his entrance and Cole said about future universal champion. Though I'm expecting Brock to win if this match happens in the future
Who's your pick to win?
My pick is Lesnar right now. I cannot see this opinion change. I strongly believe he's going on another run. Especially with the FOX move later this year.
DeleteI had already bet on him to win against Rollins in Kambi's Feuds markets, so I hope I'm right.
BTW, as long as Reigns is around, Rollins won't be the face of the company.
DeleteAnother BTW - when I was watching Raw, I thought to myself 'I had better put a few quid on Ricochet to win the Rumble' but didn't want to do it right away in case there were markets up for SummerSlam. Anyway, between that moment and now, I had forgotten to place the Ricochet bet so you have reminded me. Thanks for the reminder ha!
DeleteIMO I don't think Lesnar vs Ricochet is a Wrestlemania calibre match.
ReplyDeleteThe general plans for Lesnar at Wrestlemania is to drop the title. But I can't see Ricochet beating Lesnar since he's really small
My guess is Lesnar vs Ricochet will be a one off PPV match for Universal title like Balor- Brock where Challenger shines but Lesnar wins at the end
Do you think this might be a Wrestlemania match?
I think it has a chance to be considering who's running Raw. If he lasts in that position.
DeleteYeah but it's Vince who still takes final call
DeleteBy the way, who do you think will be Roman's opponent at Summerslam? It's really tough to say this after watching Smackdown
They are building towards Orton vs Kofi and Shane vs KO
Like I said the other day, I think that they might do another Taker and Reigns tag team because of how they the commentators/interviewers were scripted to wonder whether we'll ever see them team up again.
DeleteIn this year's Summerslam I can see all 6 singles titles getting retained
ReplyDelete1) Lesnar vs Rollins - Lesnar
2) Kofi vs Orton - Kofi
3) Styles vs Ricochet - Styles because I think they will start pushing Ricochet towards upper card scene
4) Looks like Nakamura vs Ali for IC title. Don't think Nakamura is dropping the title soon
5) Becky retains against Natalya
6) Bayley retains against Ember
I feel Orton can win the title as he could be perfect heel for Roman to win WWE title but I think Kofi will win at Summerslam since this feud is almost 10 years in the making where Kofi's push in 2009 was suddenly stopped because of Orton.
Do you see any title changes in these 6 matches?
I'm sorry, but I only discuss who I think will win matches AFTER betting markets are available or if there are Kambi Feud/Sky Bet 'Champion After' markets out etc.
DeleteNo problem, i just guessed
DeleteAbraham, I will say this...
DeleteSummerSlam will be the fifteenth anniversary of Orton's WHC title win. Not sure if they'll use that in the story considering Benoit was the one he won it from.
So far there is no advertised ppv in October. Im worried that they will scrap b show ppvs when SDL on Fox starts and once a month have ppv quality cards on SDL instead. I hope not.
ReplyDeleteI think the lack of an October PPV for now has more to do with the company trying to work a day/date for the November Saudi show.
DeleteThe reason why I say that is because of all the scheduling changes it made before Super ShowDown and also it has been changing the autumn schedules as well now that Smackdown will land on a Friday etc.
DeleteReigns vs Nakamura for the IC title sounds great. Nakamura can continue his momentum by beating Ali on SDL.
