Kambi's Closing Odds For The 4th October Smackdown

Kambi's markets for the matches that will air live on tonight's WWE Smackdown were closed at 10:00PM BST.

In this post, I'll point out who the early and closing favourites were as well as point out when and where the punters were backing the selections.

Roman Reigns .vs. Erick Rowan
A market for the Roman Reigns .vs. Erick Rowan match was first published either late on Sunday or early on Monday. Either way, I first came across it at 10:30AM BST on Monday morning. It had Roman Reigns a 1/5 favourite while his opponent was out at 3/1.

As you can see below, the first movement came in favour of Rowan as his price was lowered to 5/2 by lunchtime on Wednesday. It then dipped to 9/4 by the following night.

From there, Reigns began to slide as he fell from 2/7 into 11/50 between yesterday and this afternoon and then - when I checked in this evening - he had moved to where he was to start off earlier in the week: 1/5.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair .vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks
Another market which closed with the favourites at 1/5 was the one for the women's tag team match.

The betting was one-sided for this bout as the odds for Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair fell from 11/20 into 1/5 between Saturday afternoon and yesterday.

With Lynch and Flair falling that far, the bookies ended up closing Bayley and Sasha Banks as 3/1 outsiders. This was up from their initial price of 5/4.

Kevin Owens .vs. Shane McMahon
The market for the Kevin Owens .vs. Shane McMahon ladder match was first created on September 29th with Owens a 11/50 fave to Shane McMahon's 11/4.

Just like with the above market, the bookmakers appear to have had wagers coming more for Owens than McMahon as the former fell from the aforementioned 11/50 into 1/8 by this evening.

McMahon's price rose from the 11/4 all the way to 4/1 in this time.

Kofi Kingston .vs. Brock Lesnar
The WWE Championship match market was first installed a day after the bout was announced on Smackdown.

At the time, the challenger - Brock Lesnar - was a 2/5 favourite and the champion, Kofi Kingston, was 7/4.

Lesnar's odds slid from there. However, Kingston's price was moving in slightly in the latter stages of betting as he was 3/1 on Tuesday, dipped to 11/5 by last night and was moved to 5/2 this afternoon.

Still, Lesnar closed at a shorter price than he opened. He was a 1/4 fave when the market was taken down.
