The current titleholder - Roman Reigns - is a 1/5 favourite. A win for his challenger, Cesaro, will pay out at 10/3.
Earlier this week, Sky Bet published a market for the WWE Raw Women's Championship match.
As you can see, Charlotte Flair's price was lowered from 5/2 into 2/1. This was shortly after I had a gamble on her.
I wouldn't argue with anyone who believes Rhea Ripley should win because I think she should considering she has only held the strap for a month. However, there are a few things that compelled me to have a punt on the 5/2 for a Charlotte Flair win.
Ripley was not the original choice to leave WrestleMania as titleholder. She became Asuka's challenger through Charlotte Flair's absence in the build to the event.
I strongly believe Flair was going to leave Mania as champion whether it be by beating Lacey Evans or Asuka (I'm going with the idea that Evans may have beaten Asuka at Elimination Chamber and then faced Flair at Mania with the former and then - in the latter - Flair would have beaten Asuka in the match that was announced before it was pulled from Mania).
The company may have changed course, but seeing Sonya Deville picking up a bigger role in the management storyline between her and Adam Pearce- by adding Flair to the match - makes me wonder whether Deville's decision will benefit Flair to add more conflict to the Deville/Pearce storyline.
