5Dimes Is Pulling Out Of Europe

The 5Dimes Sportsbook is in the process of closing its operations within all of Europe.

This is the information that was sent to me by the company itself. The reason behind the closure of its .eu website - it claims - is to look into launching a Canadian-facing website later this year.

Here are some important notes relayed to me by 5Dimes regarding the European closure. Despite not having covered 5Dimes' markets for quite some time, I feel it necessary to give you all a heads-up based on my own experiences in a country that 5Dimes withdrew from eight years ago.

- 5Dimes.eu and 5DEurope.eu will permanently stop accepting wagers as of 11:59PM (Eastern) on May 29th 2023

- All funds available in player accounts will be honoured and paid out accordingly

- The website's cash-our feature will remain accessible for 12 months to allow all customers ample time to withdraw their balances

- 5Dimes' management urges users to cash out as soon as possible and claim that they will send out reminders week-after-week through email, account messages and even phone calls

From personal experience, I strongly recommend complying with the request before May 29th.

In 2015, the company withdrew from the UK without warning leaving British customers unable to access their accounts unless they visited the 5Dimes website through a VPN.

On the day in question, customers were met with a security message on the 5Dimes websites stating that traffic from the UK had been blocked.

I am concerned that something similar could happen on May 29th with the users from the European region.
