It appears Paddy Power customers have taken speculative punts on Tim Wiese becoming WWE World Heavyweight Champion before the end of 2022.
In a post published yesterday, I noted how Paddy Power had opened a book on the former German goalkeeper becoming WWE champion after news came out suggesting that he was considering a move to Florida to train at WWE's Performance Center.
When the book originally opened, Wiese was given odds of 80/1. The price has now dropped to 50/1.
Paddy Power's special Tim Wiese odds can be found on the WWE Betting Page over at PaddyPower.com.
A really cool bet. I'd recommend putting a few quid on it. It is not as crazy as Vince McMahon buying Newcastle United. Now it has shortened to 25/1.
ReplyDeleteThe last German goalkeeper to make it in pro wrestling was Oliver Khan. He used to wrestle as Lex Luger ;)
DeleteYou mean that they lookalike! Yes, they do kind of look like each other. I did think for a minute that Oliver Khan might have wrestled, but then I realised that the whole internet joke about them is that they resemble each other. Separated at birth! Haha! Everyone has a double.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was referring to them looking alike!
DeleteI always thought Carles Puyol looked like Terry Gordy as well.
:-) Yes, Puyol is the spitting image of Gordy. A very astute obversation- shaggy hair and all!! I can't think of many wrestlers who look like footballers. Ronaldino kind of looks like either one of the Uso's, and, in a way, Luis Figo kind of resembles Batista...Wayne Rooney and Brock lesnar have heads like itinerants...
