5Dimes' WWE SummerSlam 2015 Odds For Saturday Morning

I last checked in with the WWE SummerSlam 2015 odds available from the 5Dimes Sportsbook just before 12am BST this morning. In this post, I'll note the difference between the prices I recorded then with what they are now.

There are some significant changes. However, I think there might be a reason behind them. I'll explain more as I progress.

Starting from the bottom of the board and working up we have:

Dolph Ziggler +145
Rusev -185

Ziggler was a +165 shot last night. Rusev was -215. The bettors have obviously picked Rusev here.

PCB wins 3-Team Elimination -350
Field wins +250

PCB have been backed here, They were -135 at 11:40pm BST. Their opponents were -105 so the moving out to +250 obviously points to PCB money.

Kevin Owens -1350
Cesaro +650

This has been a big shift. Owens had been -270 over eight hours ago. Cesaro was +190.

Stephen Amell & Neville -6000
Stardust & King Barrett +2000

A huge change. Amell & Neville were originally -900. Their foes were +500.

The New Day -420
The Field .vs. New Day +300
Prime Time Players +400
Lucha Dragons +750
Los Matadores +1500

New Day has seen action as they were -120. 'The Field' was also at -120. The Prime Time Players have jumped from +105, the Dragons from +550 and Los Matadores from +1250.

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper -120
Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns -120

The heels were -105 and Ambrose/Reigns were -135 yesterday night.

Ryback -1200
The Field +600

Big difference for Ryback, who had been -280. The Field has gone up by 400.

John Cena +280
Seth Rollins -400

Rollins had been -230 last night, so the bettors have punted on him to be the victor on Sunday. Cena had been +170.

Randy Orton +475
Sheamus -825

Sheamus' odds have shortened from -260 with Orton drifting out from +180.

Brock Lesnar +100
The Undertaker -140

'The Beast' was +160 at 11:40pm while his opponent was -210.

I think a Sports Illustrated article that featured Jim Ross giving out his picks for the pay-per-view may have played a part in most of the wagering activity. Here's what was written about all the wrestler's whose lines moved

Rusev: 'Ross sees an unfortunate fate for Ziggler in his match against Rusev.'

PCB: 'You need to have Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Paige win.'

Amell/Neville: 'The babyfaces go over here, and that's a lead-pipe cinch.'

Ryback: 'The predictable thing is for Ryback to beat The Miz, but what should really happen is Ryback should beat Big Show.'

Seth Rollins: 'Cena beating him is not the right thing to do.'

Brock Lesnar: '..you can have a rubber match at WrestleMania, but I don't think that happens. Lesnar will go over. The Undertaker can then take his normal sabbatical, and return with some vignettes announcing his retirement match at WrestleMania 32 in Texas.'

The ones he didn't pick were Sheamus 'Sheamus needs to make one mistake, then Orton capitalizes and gets the crowd on their feet for the win'; Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper 'the babyfaces will go over, and Harper takes the loss' and Kevin Owens 'Cesaro needs to win. It will be a very competitive, very good match, but Cesaro needs to win it.'

He did bring up a possible win for The New Day, but gave out the Prime Time Players when he noted that 'I'm going to stick with the incumbents in this match. Unless New Day uses 3-on-2 display to cheat, then the Prime Time Players will retain'.

You can read this article for yourself.

It's interesting to see how people like Jim Ross would book the event. Not just for betting purposes but to gain more knowledge about the psychology of pro wrestling.

Prices correct as of this morning. Customers in regions where 5Dimes is accessible can wager on these lines. They can be viewed under 'Pro Wrestling' in the 'Other Sports' section of 5Dimes' Betting Board.
