A Royal Rumble 2017 Stab In The Dark Bet

Following last night's episode of Raw, where it was announced that - if The Undertaker loses to Shane McMahon on April 3rd - WrestleMania 32 will be the final time we see The Phenom at a WrestleMania.

Note that the stipulation wasn't that we would never see him wrestle again? That's because he'll be working some dates on the UK tour.

As soon as I heard Vince McMahon's announcement when watching Raw a short while ago, I took to bwin.com and Betfair.com to see what the odds were for The Undertaker to win the 2017 Royal Rumble.

He was 80/1 with bwin and 33/1 with Betfair.

I had a punt on the 80/1, but was limited. I could only put a few pounds on so backed Taker with Betfair's 33/1.

Bwin has now cut him to 25/1.

It's a a long way until January 2017, but I wanted to strike early just in case the company uses a Royal Rumble win to get around the stipulation of The Undertaker not being allowed to wrestle at WrestleMania ever again.

It's a stab in the dark bet, but I thought I'd share it in case the odds start dropping some more.

If you'd like to bet at bwin or Betfair the directions to the WWE markets can be viewed below:

- When available, bwin's WWE markets are found under 'Entertainment' on the menu at bwin.com

- Betfair's Royal Rumble 2017 odds can be found under 'Special Bets' on the sportsbook menu at betfair.com.
