'Next WWE Champion After Roman Reigns' Betting

The traders at 888Sport.com have been busy since WrestleMania 32 putting up a handful of WWE specials for their customers.

In the last two posts, I went through through a market where you can bet on the wrestler who will leave WrestleMania 33 as WWE World Heavyweight Champion and then - most recently - I went through the odds of certain wrestlers winning the strap between now and Mania 33.

In this post, I'm going through the market where clients can punt on the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion after Roman Reigns.

The odds are:

AJ Styles tops the last, and rightfully so, as he's the current number one contender to Reigns' strap.

I doubt they'll have Reigns lose the title just yet, so there's no way I'm going to take the 4/1. If you do believe Styles will win the title from Reigns, then 4/1 may be better than what you'll find in a regular match market if they do meet at Payback in a little over three weeks.

I find the second-favourite Seth Rollins a nice pick at 5/1. Rollins deserves another run with the title when he returns.

The other choices I like, and I'm repeating myself here, are Bray Wyatt and Kevin Owens. I have them both as potential Money in the Bank ladder match winners, so it goes without saying that I'll have them high on the list to unseat the current champion.

There are a lot of ways Reigns'.. err.. reign can go so he could even have lost the title by the time Money in the Bank rolls around. And then I have to hope either Wyatt or Owens wins the match, so I think the 10/1 on Wyatt and 14/1 for Owens is in the right region considering both are far away from the title picture as of the time of writing.

The market can be found under 'WWE' not only at 888Sport.com but also at Unibet.com and 32Red.com.

  1. Roman reigns is defending title against Bray Wyatt across the EU tour. Probably pulling at straws here but possible hint Bray will be in title picture soon?
