New Battleground Match Markets Published

The Unibet Sportsbook has just reopened its book for next week's WWE Battleground PPV by republishing some match markets that had closed just before this Monday's Raw. The traders have also priced up new markets.

The New Day are 11/10 to win the tag match against The Wyatt Family (13/20).

WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, is 1/2 to retain his title with a win over Darren Young. The challenger is 7/5.

Rusev, who will defend the US Championship against Zack Ryder, has opened as a 1/5 favourite. His opponent is down as a 3/1 outsider.

Finally, there are two markets for the female tag team match. The traders have compiled odds for the bout winners and also written up a list for customers to bet on which wrestler will be Sasha Banks' mystery partner.

Banks and her accomplice are 2/5 favourites. I think this is the way to go considering this match will be used to set up Sasha to challenge Charlotte for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam. If you think logic will be thrown out of the window and Charlotte and Dane Brooke pick up the W, then you're looking to get a payout of 7/4.

The mystery partner pricing has both Bayley and Paige as joint-favourites. They're EVENS. If I had to make a stab in the dark punt, my money would be on Nia Jax because she was absent from the recent NXT tapings. This has led to speculation that she's set to be introduced to the main roster. The only drawback - other than Nia Jax was last seen working as a heel - is she isn't even on the bookmakers' list. Here are the names and their odds:

Bayley EVS
Paige EVS
Naomi 6/4
Asuka 4/1
Nikki Bella 4/1
Eva Marie 9/1
Trish Stratus 9/1

Bayley and Asuka will wrestle each other at August's NXT TakeOver show, so I don't think that either of them will be in the slot. Trish Stratus certainly won't, either. The others wouldn't surprise me, but - like I noted above - I'd rather go for an outside shot in Nia Jax, so will leave this market alone.

Odds correct as of the time of posting. They can be viewed under 'WWE' on the sports menu at Unibet.com and these WWE oddsmakers.
