The newsletter's editor is of the opinion that Brock Lesnar should win his bout against Randy Orton. He believes that Lesnar should not lose before reaching WrestleMania. He followed this up on today's podcast by stating that, when Lesnar loses next, it should be to an up-and-comer rather than a name from the past like Randy Orton.
His co-host, Bryan Alvarez, has sided with Orton. Just like with some of the points I have made, Alvarez believes that Orton should be the given the win because he's one of the main stars on the Smackdown brand.
Another thing that I brought up in recent posts is how Lesnar should lose as a sort of punishment for the past few months just to pacify the locker-room. Meltzer did note this in the issue by writing 'under normal circumstances, you wouldn't expect Orton to beat Lesnar, but there is the thought that Lesnar should be punished'. He did end with the notion that, despite this, Lesnar shouldn't lose.
Lesnar is -400 at 5Dimes and 33/100 with the bwin Sportsbook, so he's a clear favourite. On the other side of the board, Orton is +280 with 5Dimes and 2/1 at bwin.
I'm still siding with the outsider. Since Lesnar's return we have witnessed him lose to John Cena, Triple H and The Undertaker. Orton's name could absolutely fit this group. With that said, Lesnar has had wins over all three of the names on this list.
As for the Finn Balor versus Seth Rollins match - Meltzer has also sided with Balor now that it has been confirmed that the wrestler will debut his 'Demon' gimmick on the main roster. He wrote it more eloquently than me when I stated 'it'll be kind of foolish to go to all that effort if he's being booked to lose'.
Finn Balor is neck-and-neck with Rollins in SummerSlam betting at 5Dimes.com. Both are -120 each. Customers over here in Europe can pick up Balor at 91/100 over at bwin.com. He had been EVENS up until this morning, so the customers have continued to back him becoming the first Universal Champion.
