5Dimes' SummerSlam 2016 Odds For August 16th (PM)

I have just taken the last look through the 5Dimes Sportsbook's WWE SummerSlam 2016 betting markets for today. In this post, I'll go through each market and note how the odds have changed since this morning's update.

Before I begin, I should point out that new match markets were published within the past ninety minutes, so some of these odds are new.

Cesaro .vs. Sheamus

This market went up today. Both wrestlers are at -120 pick 'em.

Rusev .vs. Roman Reigns

Another match that was put up recently. The early numbers I have are Rusev -105, Reigns -135. The lines, as of 11pm BST, are Rusev -140 and Reigns +100. Therefore, the early edge goes to the US Champion.

Enzo and Cass .vs. JeriKO

The market came up this evening with the babyfaces as -1050 favourites. Their opponents - JeriKO - are +550 dogs.

New Day .vs. Anderson and Gallows

Yet another market that was installed today. The New Day were +120 but dropped to +100 within an hour. Their opponents went from -160 to -140 in the same time.

John Cena .vs. AJ Styles

This market was released late this evening. Cena is -210 and Styles is +160.

The Miz .vs. Apollo Crews

This market has been available since August 7th. Earlier on today, Crews was -180 to defeat the Intercontinental Champion. This price has shortened to -190. The Miz has moved out from +140 to +150.

Sasha Banks .vs. Charlotte

The current WWE Women's Champion was -1350 for days, but has now moved down further. She's currently -1500 to retain with the W. The former champ moved up from +650 to +700 today.

Dean Ambrose .vs. Dolph Ziggler

The WWE Champion's price has shortened through the day. When I checked in this morning, Ambrose was -690 but has now been backed into -750. The challenger has drifted out to +450 from +430.

Finn Balor .vs. Seth Rollins

Unsurprisingly, following Raw, the fans have backed Seth Rollins to leave New York with the WWE Universal Championship. He went from +135 at the start of the day to +120. The babyface in this match is now -160. You could have picked him at a steeper -175 this morning.

Brock Lesnar .vs. Randy Orton

This market has not changed since this morning's update where I pointed out that Lesnar had been backed from -350 to -400. The Viper had moved out from +250 to +280.

I'll return tomorrow with another checkpoint tomorrow morning. Odds correct as of 11pm BST and taken from the betting board at 5Dimes.com.

    1. Ah cheers. Are you siding yet in either the miz match or cena match? Or are you waiting to see how smackdown goes first?

    2. There have been a few posts where I mentioned that I think Crews should win. Can't recall where I wrote it, but I went on about how Apollo Crews may have been a Ryan Ward project at NXT for his debut and now Ward is Smackdown's head writer.

Another thing I didn't write is that they could have Crews win the IC title at SummerSlam and mention how he made his debut for NXT a year earlier at the first TakeOver Brooklyn.

As for Cena/Styles - I'm siding with Styles for numerous reasons. The main one being it'll put him in line for the Ambrose's title. Also, Cena will be taking some more time off to film the second season of True Grit etc.

Last night's Smackdown also helped with this opinion.

    3. The thing I wrote about Crews was in the August 7th Comment Bag. You must have read it as you commented below it!

    5. No worries.

By the way, I meant 'American Grit' above. Too late to edit.
