Betfair Publishes Clash Of Champions 2016 Odds

The traders at Betfair.com have, as of this morning, released betting odds for Sunday's WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

Nia Jax is 1/8 to win the Kick-Off match against Alicia Fox (4/1).

TJ Perkins is 1/5 to successfully retain his newly-won WWE Cruiserweight Championship against number one contender, Brian Kendrick. A winning bet on the challenger will pay out at odds of 3/1.

Charlotte is 8/15 to keep the women's strap in the triple threat match that sees her up against Sasha Banks (11/2) and Bayley (6/4).

The New Day are outsiders to keep their WWE Tag Team Championship over Anderson and Gallows. The champs are 7/4 and their rivals are 2/5.

Roman Reigns is 4/7 to get a win in the US Championship bout against Rusev. If you think the Bulgarian Brute will be victorious over his opponent, the bookie will pay winnings out at 6/5.

Chris Jericho is 1/2 to win against Sami Zayn (6/4).

The main event has opened with similar pricing. Kevin Owens is 1/2 to keep the Universal Championship by going over Seth Rollins (6/4).

Which leaves one more match on the board.

Cesaro has been installed as a 5/2 outsider against Sheamus in what is the final match in the best of seven series. A win by the Irishman will pay out at odds of 1/4. You may think the pricing is off on this considering that a babyface tends to win from behind. However, in August, potential smart money landed on Sheamus winning the series when 5Dimes was accepting 'Series Winner' wagers on SummerSlam weekend. It's worth noting that this money came in before Finn Balor's injury, so plans might have been changed since then.

Betfair's WWE betting odds are found under 'Special Bets' on the sportsbook menu at Betfair.com.

  1. Very interesting odds

I like Alicia Fox because it is a dark match. All dark matches in last months was around 5-12 minutes. I just cant see Nia attack Fox for that long time. Maybe it would be like Corbin - Ziggler with a cheap win for Fox. After match Nia can attack Fox and evrebody will forgot that she loze. Also she has no storyline right now. So on next PPV we could see Nia vs. Fox number two.

KO odds is way too big. Rollins can win only by DQ. But its looks like Stephanie on KO side right know.

Cesaro odds is strange. But it would be no surprise in Sheamus win. It would be shock for fans.

I also like odds for Zayn and New Day. Jericho act like KO puppet. I think we can see Zayn vs KO on next PPV. And for New Day... i dont think WWE like Club. They promos was very very bad and also New Day give WWE a lot of money (with food, horns etc.). Cant see what New Day would do without titles.

I also like Sasha odds. If she loze at SS just because of her possible back injury. They can give her title back. Also Dana vs Charlotte is 100% now. Question is when Dana betrayed Flair daughter.

    What is your opinion?

    1. Highly doubt Nia Jax loses her first main roster match against a star. They haven't been building her like this to lose straight away.

Think the traders are open to a Seth Rollins win by DQ or something.

Cesaro/Sheamus - I am avoiding at al costs because common sense would say Cesaro although the betting activity on the Sunday of SummerSlam pointed to Sheamus although that may have been to set Sheamus up as a rival to Balor so this will be one to watch.

Think it's time for New Day to drop the straps. Let Anderson and Gallows move into a title feud with Enzo/Cass.

Bayley took the pin on Raw. It'll be interesting if she's the one who takes the fall on Sunday. If this were a few months ago, I would have pegged Bayley as winning this one. Can see that thing you wrote playing out with Sasha getting the title back though. Just doesn't make sense as to why Bayley was added in that case (other than to try and explain away the double pin from last week).

  2. time to back on track from Payback,a pretty bad PPV on money terms to me.
Imho odds are pretty accurate to reality.
tricky thing here is I cant see champions like Charlotte,KO or Rusev dropping their belts so soon but they all have creditable opp who I guess WWE doesnt wanna cool off taking a pin.(Remember odds go for the match winner not title holder)
I am also pretty curious about how smart money Lands on COC ,keeping in mind the pretty Strange line movement of last PPV

  3. Forgot to talk about the most intriguing here which is Cesaro/Sheamus
Current odds are not adjusted what logical sense would indicate,Cesaro is face here and he is coming from 3/0 behind to settle things up on yesterdays Raw ,past best of seven series got the pattern of babyface getting the last upper hand ,this feud also got a title chance as price currently both champs are heels,so all of the previous lead us to a babyface W.
Why that 3.50 odds to Cesaro? well as David points during past SS was a great shifting When smart money landed and tons of money came Sheamus way thats the reason why
Watching all late time decision and recent injuries ,I am gonna wait till 5dimes open lines a will pull the trigger if odds remain at around 5.0 as last time checked in.....

  4. An almost certain safe bet is the TJ match with him debuting and being a newly crowned champion.

As for the women's triple.. I'm not even going to give Sasha a thought of becoming champ after the lack luster reign she had, it wouldn't make sense to put it on her straight away. I can see WWE doing a Bailey underdog storyline until Wrestlemania where she wins so I'm going with Charlotte on this one.
