Betfair's 2017 WWE Royal Rumble Odds : Then & Now

The Betfair Sportsbook's 2017 WWE Royal Rumble betting market was republished earlier this week, so I thought I would go through the prices and compare them to how they were when they were first installed in the days follow the 2016 Rumble.

The most obvious takeaway I have noticed is that Finn Balor is now the favourite to win the battle royal. He's currently priced 3/1, but - had you placed a bet on him earlier in 2016 - you could have grabbed him at 125/1.

Balor is one of the wrestlers that I have predicted to win the match. Another name that I've suggested, John Cena, is now 9/2. His price has also dropped as he was originally 16/1.

With the event taking place from Shawn Michael's hometown of San Antonio, Texas - and in the building where he won his second WWF World Championship - I have been intrigued to see whether the public have had a speculative punt on the match being won by The Heartbreak Kid. The sportsbook did have some interest in him earlier on this week as his price has fallen from 250/1 to 33/1.

It should be worth noting that, even though I was expecting people to back HBK, I cannot see him being in the battle royal let alone end up winning it.
