WrestleMania 33 Betting : Universal Champion At End Of The Show?

Here's something that might be of interest to those of you who, like me, are currently of the opinion that Kevin Owens versus Chris Jericho will be the WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 33.

I've placed two bets from Betfair.com's WrestleMania markets where the firm is accepting wagers on 'Who Will Be The Universal Champion At The End Of The Show?'

The first bet was on Owens and the second, as you've probably guessed, is on Jericho.

The price for the current Universal Champion is 5/2. My bet on Jericho was 20/1 when it was struck yesterday night. Since then, it has been cut into 7s.

How the market has changed since day one

If Owens and Jericho are in the Universal Championship match on April 2nd, then I'm covered whoever walks away with the strap.

For what it's worth, I think the likely outcome is a Kevin Owens victory, so I am not looking to gain much from this speculative punt.

They could also turn out to be a losing bets as they require storylines from now right up to WrestleMania season going the way I am hoping. So, keep that one in mind if you're looking to place these bets yourself.

The markets can be found under 'Special Bets' on the Betfair Website.

  1. I had a small bet on "any other" because I feel with so many balls in the air (balor, lesnar, reigns, Goldberg and the Jericho vs Owens stuff) there's a reasonable chance of almost anything happening.

    1. The 'Any Other' may as well be renamed 'Goldberg' at this stage!

    2. I put the bet on a while ago and seem to recall it being any other than the two favourites at the time.
      If it wasn't that then I guess I've been a dumbass 🤔
