The oddsmakers at PaddyPower.com have become the latest to publish betting markets for this Sunday's WWE Survivor Series PPV.
The traders have not only released match markets - they have also included more than a handful of prop specials for some of the key matches on the night.
Kalisto has been chalked up at 1/6 to defeat Brian Kendrick in the Cruiserweight Championship match. A winning punt on the titleholder will pay out at 7/2.
Similarly, the WWE Intercontinental Championship market has the challenger - Sami Zayn - also at 1/6 while The Miz is out at 7/2.
The two matches above have implications that could mean the respective titles change brands. With Tuesday nights soon to have a cruiserweight television show on the WWE Network, it's very possible that Kalisto gets the win here to move the cruiserweights to Smackdown. I have been trying to work out the rules of the match and to determine whether a disqualification or count out win for Kalisto would still mean the move to Smackdown takes place. If so, I think that's how they'll get the cruiserweights to Smackdown and have Kendrick keep the strap.
If the scenario with Kalisto winning, but Kendrick retains and the army of cruiserweights are sent to Smackdown plays out, I can see Miz getting the W over Sami Zayn.
The Raw Tag Teams are 4/11 to win the 10-on-10 elimination match while their Smackdown opponents are 15/8.
The firm has also installed pricing where you can bet on the tag teams to start for their respective brands and also the last team standing.
The Smackdown women are 4/7 favourites over the Raw team (6/5). There are prop markets where you can bet on the lady who starts for their brand and also for the last person standing.
The 5-on-5 match market is showing the Raw team as 8/11 faves while the Smackdown side are down as EVENS. After this week's Smackdown, with The Undertaker threatening that he'll be out to get those responsible for a Smackdown loss, I think it's safe to guess that Raw will end up taking this match.
Just like with the other two Survivor Series elimination matches, the traders have compiled odds where customers can bet on the participant that starts the match and also 'Last Man Standing.' I'll get through these specials in the next post.
Bill Goldberg is 11/4 to be awarded the decision over Brock Lesnar (2/9) in what should be the main event of the evening.
I've written a few times since the match was announced that I believe the match will end up going to a non-finish and haven't placed a wager on either man. I am now leaning on the idea that there will be a spot on the match where Goldberg's wife and son are put in jeopardy resulting in Goldberg having to submit. This could be in the form of Paul Heyman and Lesnar or it could extend to someone like Rusev or Lana. This makes the next special I mention even more attractive as the firm is offering a price on whether the match has interference.
The traders have the 'Yes' out at 9/4, That's a steal, if I say so myself. Even if my idea about Goldberg's family doesn't turn out to be accurate, there's still the potential for Shane McMahon to get himself involved to set up what ever the plan is for him and Brock Lesnar.
If you believe the match will have no interference, then the bookies have 3/10.
As noted above, I'll publish a post dedicated to the specials shortly.
The Miz odds are way too good. He's only just got the title back and Sami is infamous for putting people over.
ReplyDeleteZiggler needs a rematch clause and if Sami takes the win then itll leave both Miz and Ziggler with rematch clauses that can't be used due to the brand split. Unless they do it again at the royal rumble
Miz odds arent way too good because of Kalisto's odds being so short. If Kalisto wins, both belts move over.
DeleteKalisto could win by DQ/Count-out and Miz could retain.
DeleteIn fact, I am sure this will actually happen because Foley will be blamed for losing the cruiserweights and then picking the wrong guy to try and wrest the IC title from Smackdown.
DeleteI took the kalisto, miz parlay as a backup
