Paddy Power's Survivor Series Specials

I published a post a short while ago where I went through the PaddyPower.com match markets for the 30th Annual WWE Survivor Series. I'm back with a look over the props that have also been released by the firm.

The traders have published markets where you can bet on each brands' last person standing and the first to start.

In my opinion, the last person standing market needs some clarification. Is it the last person to be eliminated from the losing team or is it the last person standing overall? If it's the latter - and this is what I am going to assume due to the wording - then there's potentially more than one person who could end up standing last.

6pm GMT Update: After being informed by somebody from Paddy Power that it was latter, I have now been told something else. Read this post for more.

I'll go through each elimination match individually, show you the odds and share some thoughts.

10-on-10 Tag Team Elimination Match

The market for Raw's first team to start is showing as:

Shining Stars 11/10
Enzo and Cass 11/5
Gallows and Anderson 11/4
Cesaro and Sheamus 17/2
New Day 11/1

The first Smackdown team list is:

Breezeango 11/10
Hype Bros 11/4
Slater and Rhyno 7/2
The Usos 7/1
American Alpha 9/1

It's somewhat difficult to determine how this will start. I can absolutely see this being a rush job with some of the lower-tier teams being eliminated early. However, if I had to pick one team just for a speculative punt - I think I'd go with Slater and Rhyno to start things for Smackdown.

The last team standing for Raw market is showing:

New Day 11/10
Cesaro and Sheamus 11/5
Gallows and Anderson 7/2
Enzo and Cass 17/2
Shining Stars 10/1

The Smackdown market has:

American Alpha 11/10
The Usos 5/2
Slater and Rhyno 4/1
Hype Bros 7/1
Breezeango 9/1

I'm going in with the thought that the Smackdown women win their elimination match, Raw males win the 5-on-5. Therefore, I think it'll be tied 1-1 going into the main Survivor Series match of the night. This has made me side more with the Raw team. With Cesaro and Sheamus still in contention for the tag straps, I have placed a bet on them.

5-on-5 Womens' Elimination Match

The Raw lady to start market has:

Charlotte 7/4
Bayley 11/5
Nia Jax 11/4
Alicia Fox 5/1
Sasha Banks 17/2

The Smackdown market is showing:

Nikki Bella 5/4
Carmella 11/5
Alexa Bliss 7/2
Naomi 5/1
Becky Lynch 17/2

This is interesting because I don't think Charlotte Flair will start for her team. For some reason, Alicia Fox at 5s is the price that is standing out. As for the Smackdown team, I like Becky Lynch at 17/2.

I haven't bet on either option, though.

The last lady standing for the Raw:

Sasha Banks 5/4
Alicia Fox 5/2
Nia Jax 4/1
Bayley 5/1
Charlotte 17/2

A market for the last lady standing for Team Smackdown is off the board as of the time of writing.

5-on-5 Male Elimination Market

The starter for Raw has been set at:

Braun Strowman 6/4
Seth Rollins 13/5
Chris Jericho 3/1
Roman Reigns 15/2
Kevin Owens 15/2

Smackdown's list is:

Shane McMahon 5/6
Bray Wyatt 10/3
Randy Orton 5/1
AJ Styles 15/2
Dean Ambrose 9/1

I like the idea the traders came up with Strowman going up against Shane McMahon to kick things off. However, I think Dean Ambrose at 9/1 is too good to turn down and I have placed a small wager on him.

I haven't bet on them, but Rollins (13/5) and Reigns (15/2) would be ideal opposition if Dean Ambrose is the first man up for Smackdown.

The last man standing prices are as follows.

Raw:

Roman Reigns 5/4
Kevin Owens 7/4
Chris Jericho 5/1
Seth Rollins 17/2
Braun Strowman 17/2

For Smackdown:

Dean Ambrose 11/10
AJ Styles 5/2
Randy Orton 7/2
Bray Wyatt 7/1
Shane McMahon 10/1

As I noted in the first post of the day, I believe that the Raw side will end up being victorious in this bout. I can see Strowman, Owens and Jericho being taken out to leave both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins standing tall. A safe bet would be to take Reigns, but I'm going for the odds and find the 17/2 for Seth Rollins worth a punt.

To close, here are the selections I have placed speculative punts on:

  • Slater/Rhyno to start for Smackdown 7/2
  • Cesaro/Sheamus last men standing 11/5
  • Dean Ambrose to start for Team Smackdown 9/1
  • Seth Rollins last man standing 17/2

If you'd like to have a wager yourself, you can find the Survivor Series specials alongside regular match markets in the 'Sports Novelties' section of the Paddy Power Website.

1 comment:

  1. Alicia Fox odds is too short in "last diva standing". Her odds should be like Breezeango or Shining Stars.
