Rumble 2017 Odds Notes For Christmas Eve

I have just had a look over the three Royal Rumble 2017 betting markets that are currently available and have compared the odds to previous prices. In this post, I'll highlight a few names and write about their odds. Please note, just because I focus on a name does not mean I think they're going to win the battle royal.

This will be the final post before Christmas Day (I think!), so happy holidays to all.

Bill Goldberg
Bill Goldberg is still the favourite across all websites. His price has not dropped since my previous visit. The best number out there is 3/1 from Ladbrokes.

Finn Balor
Finn Balor is one of the joint second-favourites to win. The price hasn't changed over the past few days. He's 3/1 everywhere.

Chris Jericho
Jericho moved into joint second-favourite shortly after the close of Sunday night's Roadblock PPV. Before then, he was 5/1. He's 3/1 at Paddy Power and Betfair, but you can pick him at a slightly better 7/2 with Ladbrokes.

John Cena
John Cena, who returns to WWE Smackdown on Tuesday, is 5/1 across all websites. His price hasn't changed. Yet. If he announces that he's entering the Royal Rumble, the number will likely drop. If a match between he and AJ Styles is set up for the Rumble, then..

The Undertaker
If it's AJ Styles .vs. John Cena at the Royal Rumble, I expect The Undertaker's price to drop heavily with all three sportsbooks. He's 16s with Betfair and Paddy Power. However, he's up at 20/1 with Ladbrokes.

Braun Strowman
I classed Braun Strowman the dark horse to win last week when he was 33/1. He's now moving up the board and has had his number snipped across all the websites. As of the time of publishing, Ladbrokes has him at 8/1.

Sami Zayn
On the subject of Strowman, his opponent from Sunday - Sami Zayn - has had his price cut with Ladbrokes. He went from 33/1 to 25/1 over the past four days. Despite this, Ladbrokes is still offering the better number as he's 14/1 with Paddy Power and Befair. It's worth noting that he had been 33/1 with the other websites earlier this month. I guess there are people out there with the hope that Zayn and Kevin Owens will wrestle for the Universal Championship in April.

Samoa Joe
This is a very interesting selection as I have seen his price shorten at Paddy Power and drift out at Ladbrokes. Paddy has cut Joe from 25s into 10/1. On the reverse, Ladbrokes also had him at 25/1, but moved him out to 40/1. Going by the price being cut, I suppose this could be from people who may have an idea that a rumoured AJ Styles versus Samoa Joe match for Mania will be for the strap.

And that's all for now. I'll return with more in a few days, unless there's a story that breaks that may affect some of these odds.

Happy Christmas
