Making Sense Out Of Goldberg's Odds Falling

It has been a short while since I published a post noting that Bill Goldberg's odds to win this year's Royal Rumble have plummeted overnight. I have been shown something that may be the reason why people are jumping to the conclusion that Bill Goldberg will win the battle royal.

On his latest episode of Chair Shot Reality, Justin Labar claims that WWE is 'Moving To Brock Lesnar vs Braun Strowman For WrestleMania'.

I assume that the video has caused people to jump to conclusions and guessed that - if it is going to be Braun Strowman versus Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, then Goldberg has to win the Royal Rumble to challenge for the Universal Championship.

As I've noted in previous posts, the WrestleMania plan has been for Brock Lesnar to wrestle Bill Goldberg. Therefore, I cannot see the Lesnar versus Strowman scenario playing out at this stage.

As an update to this morning's post, WilliamHill.com has now sliced Goldberg's odds to 5/2 making him the favourite on its board.

This now leaves SportingBet.com and YouWin.com as the websites offering the better price on a Bill Goldberg Rumble victory.

I doubt Goldberg is winning the Royal Rumble, though.

Odds correct as of 10:15am GMT.
