Samoa Joe Added To US Championship Mania 33 Market And More

Samoa Joe has now been added to the 'Who Will Be US Champion?' WrestleMania 33 special market that has been available from PaddyPower.com for almost a week.

Customers who think Samoa Joe will end up champ by the time the April 2nd show goes off the air can currently pick him up at 7/1.

I've been told that a few customers had requested Joe's addition to the market, but I highly doubt the title will move away from the Chris Jericho .vs. Kevin Owens build to Mania.

As noted, the market was initially published last week. It opened with Kevin Owens a favourite to walk out of Orlando with the US strap while the current titleholder - Jericho - was in second place at 15/8.

Jericho has since moved into the top slot at 4/6 while Owens has drifted to EVENS.

With Chris Jericho scheduled to defend the title against Sami Zayn at Fast Lane, I suppose the customers are predicting that Zayn snares the championship from Jericho in March and then drops it to Joe at Mania.

Or something along those lines.

I incorrectly discounted one title direction already this year (Orton winning the Rumble and then Bray Wyatt winning the title), but I feel the US Championship is staying with what will end up becoming the Jericho/Owens feud.
