Paddy Power has republished its WrestleMania 33 In-Ring Appearance market.
I went through the market in a post published on Tuesday. Since that time, one price has shortened and it's the 'Elias Samson' selection. It has moved in from 6/4 to 5/6.
This week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter once again noted the ambiguity over the Smackdown Women's Championship match and how it's possible that some stars from the past could end up being brought in as surprise participants. The newsletter had already noted that Kelly Kelly and Victoria were two names that had been called up to do something for WrestleMania weekend. Kelly has already revealed that she will be working for the company in the days leading up, and at, WrestleMania so her name was removed from the board. Victoria is still available at 8/13, for those of you interested.
Another name that featured in the paragraph is Lita - who is on the board at 4/6. Dave Meltzer did not write that she had been contacted, but did state that Lita had wrestled for an independent promotion recently. I also know that she will be Orlando that weekend as she is booked to appear at a convention on the Friday before Mania.
It's worth repeating that the selections will only be classified as winners if the person appears inside the ring on April 2nd. Any backstage segments will result in the bet being graded as a loss.
I think backing Elias Samson to make an appearance in the ring at 5/6 is ridiculous and even the 6/4 that has been taken. If you are going to have a losing bet you might as well take the 20/1 that he will win the battle royal. Cant see why he would get in the ring if it wasnt for a match, which match would he interfere in? Unless he jobs out to the Rock on his main roster debut, that could make for an amazing segment for the crowd (hope it doesnt happen).
