Paddy Power Publishes WWE Championship Odds For SummerSlam 2017

The Paddy Power Sportsbook has installed a market for the WWE Championship match that will take place next weekend at SummerSlam 2017.

As of the time of writing, the oddsmakers have Jinder Mahal as a 4/7 favourite to successfully retain his strap.

A win for the challenger will pay out at odds of 5/4.

For what it's worth, I have backed Nakamura to win the match.

I know there are many out there who believe Nakamura will be victorious and then have the rug pulled out from under him by this year's Money in the Bank winner - Baron Corbin. As I wrote the other day, I think Carmella cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase has a better chance of happening.

There was something else that has strengthened my opinion that Nakamura will win the title and leave Brooklyn with it. A couple of days ago, I found out that WWE has a show in Osaka, Japan in September. I think it would make sense for them to have Nakamura as champion for that event.

A Corbin cash in could take place after Nakamura defends the title inside the Hell in a Cell in October.

Or maybe even later than that.
