Kambi's Observer Star Rating Specials For WWE TLC 2017

As has become a regular thing every pay-per-view weekend, the oddsmakers from Kambi have installed betting markets where customers can punt on Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter star ratings.

For those of you new to this, Meltzer is the owner and editor of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The issue following a wrestling pay-per-view will include the editor's review of the event. In this write-up the reviewer rates each match using a star system. It's a five star scale, but there have been exceptions that have exceeded this threshold.

In this post, I'll go through every Observer themed market that's available for Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

For each match scheduled for the event, the oddsmakers have set a line where customers can have a punt whether Dave Meltzer rates the respective bout over, under or exactly on the line that the bookmaker has set. Here are all the matches along with their lines and odds.

Highest Rated Match On The Card
Another market that's published each PPV weekend is one where customers can have a bet on the match they believe will receive the most stars in Meltzer's review of the entire event.
For this weekend, the oddsmakers were offering three selections from the start - Asuka .vs. Emma, the Handicap Tables Match or 'Any Other'.

Highest Rated Match Of The Night Betting Odds For WWE TLC 2017

I write that they 'were' offering' these selections because the market has since been taken off the board and it's easy to see why.

For starters, I think the main event at 21/20 was chalked up too high considering Asuka versus Emma (3/5)  - despite receiving four stars when they met on the NXT TakeOver London show a couple of years ago - will likely be short squash match to put Asuka over as a threat to the women's division on her main roster debut.

Most importantly, with AJ Styles versus Finn Balor on the card, the 'Any Other Match' option must have been backed immediately.

This market has been readjusted with new selections. Read about it in this post.

Any Match To Receive 5 Stars Or More
The bookies have a special where clients can have a bet on Meltzer giving any of the matches on the card one of his infamous five stars (or more).
Usually, the bookies have the odds in double figures. But, like I noted above, with AJ Styles versus Finn Balor on the card - they aren't taking any chances. This weekend's price is..

Any WWE TLC 2017 Match To Get 5 Stars

They're offering 4/1 and - to be honest - I don't blame them. Even though it has been six years since a WWE match received five stars, I anticipated a low number in this market after reading AJ Styles is to replace Bray Wyatt. I didn't think it would go as low as 4s, though.

The markets are available from the websites that publish betting odds from Kambi. A couple of examples can be found below:
