5Dimes' Fast Lane 2018 Markets Published

The 5Dimes Sportsbook has opened a book on tomorrow night's WWE Fast Lane 2018 PPV.

Here are the prices as they're beginning to filter in.

AJ Styles is a -750 favourite to successfully retain the WWE Championship in the six-pack challenge match. The prices for his opponents are as follows: John Cena +900, Kevin Owens +1100, Sami Zayn +1100, Baron Corbin +2500 and Dolph Ziggler +2500.

Bobby Roode is -140 to get a victory over Randy Orton (+100) in the US Championship bout on the card.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champs - The Usos - are favoured over The New Day. The titleholders are -190 while the challengers are +150.

Charlotte Flair is -1500 for her title defence against Ruby Riott (+700).

Shinsuke Nakamura is -1410 chalk for his meeting with Rusev (+670).

Becky Lynch and Naomi are -150 for their tag match against Carmella and Natalya (+110).

  1. Are you playing anything David? I haven't played anything yet. Thoughts:

Shinsuke and Charlotte are locks but too juicy
AJ is tempting at -900 as I think that's a lock too
I like Orton +130 thinking he wins by DQ
I would pick Usos -190 but worry about Bludgeon Bros
Thinking Carmella/Natty +140 because at least one heel has to win and they are dogs (I guess the Usos are heels though)

So thinking my big play will be AJ and small plays on Orton, Usos, and Natty/Carmella for action...definitely want to hear your thoughts though.

  2. Actually might go with New Day as dogs since I'm on the fence. I think any of the three short dogs has a chance. Warming up a lot to Orton since he lost on Smackdown. A Jinder attack on Roode makes sense.

  3. I don't like using the word 'lock' in any form of betting.

With that said, I have a strong feeling about AJ and Charlotte for obvious reasons.

I said to somebody on Twitter the other day that Nakamura is close to 100%, but - with him guaranteed a title shot at Mania - if Rusev wins, I would not be surprised at the booking. This isn't to say I think Rusev will win. Nor do I think the WWE Championship challenger should lose on the PPV before Mania.

I backed Bobby Roode when I saw him at EVS with Paddy Power, but I changed my mind and cashed out. Jinder should interfere and one way to do this - to set up a triple threat - would have to be Orton by DQ.

I kind of agree with you about heels winning the tags.

Usos/New Day is a tough call. Like you said, the Bludgeon Bros are a factor.

  4. Thanks, I appreciate your thoughts. As soon as I hit submit on that first post I thought the same thing about Shinsuke. There is some precedent for the Rumble winner losing. I just can't see it although a small sprinkle on Rusev would be fun if it hit. I really hate sweating big favorites but just can't see AJ losing. I should probably lay off.

So for now I'm locking in Orton and the heel women. That might be it.
