McIntyre And Ziggler Become Champs After B-Team

On last night's episode of WWE Raw, the advertised WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match that was meant to see The B-Team defend the straps against The Revival didn't occur.

Instead, we got The B-Team .vs. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.

And then came a title change.

For those of you who placed a wager on the advertised match-up with Sky Bet, your wagers would have been settled as void by now.

The result of the changed match means that another one of Sky Bet's markets will be settled in favour of the new champs.

On August 24th, the firm installed a market where customers could bet on who they believed would succeed The B-Team as titleholders.

When it was priced up, The Authors of Pain were 6/4 favourites followed by The Revival (7/2), The Ascension (9/2), Deleters Of Worlds (5/1), Heath Slater and Rhyno (6/1), Titus Worldwide (8/1) and The Shield (8/1).

I wrote a post about the market where I mentioned that I had backed The Shield. However, as I was in the middle of writing, a thought struck me. Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre not being listed was a conspicuous absence and shifted from thinking The Shield was worth a bet to stating that 'had I seen Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre on the list, I would have had a punt on them as well'. I even closed with the exclamation that 'after writing all that, you watch.. it'll be Ziggler and McIntyre!'

The team was soon added to the market. They were 6/1 when I first noticed them - and wrote about them - on August 26th all the way up to its closure a couple of hours before last night's TV.

It was another one of those fluky results that went my way. They're often better than the ones where I've spent time overthinking things. This came to me mid-way through writing the post and I don't know for sure if I would have suggested their inclusion had I not started writing about the market, so I'm ticking this one off as a lucky guess.

As noted in last night's post, the closing favourite was The Revival selection at 8/13. The price had began a descent when they were named as The B-Team's opponents. You can view how I've tracked the market in the table below.
