More World Cup Specials From Kambi

Kambi installed a handful of specials for the WWE Crown Jewel World Cup tournament last night.

The first bunch of markets allowed customers to place wagers on the stage where the participants exited the tournament. As well as those markets, customers could also place a wager on the two wrestlers that will compete in the final.

I came across he stage of elimination market for Dolph Ziggler.at 6:30PM GMT yesterday. At the time, 'Eliminated in Quarter Final' was a 3/10 favourite, a loss in the semi-final was priced at 11/10 and to make the final was 8s.

Jeff Hardy was 2/9 to be ousted in the quarters. An exit in the semis was 5/4 and those looking for a spot in the final could have found 'WinnerLosing Finalist' at 12/1.

Kurt Angle was 4/5 to be eliminated in the first stage of Friday's tournament. An exit in the semis was priced at 21/20 and a place in the finals was 5/2.

The Miz was 6/4 to make it to the finals. The bookies had a loss in the quarter finals priced at EVS and an exit in the semi-finals was 13/10.

Rey Mysterio was 1/2 to be a finalist. An elimination in the quarters was 23/10 and an exit during the semi-final stage was 7/4. I have placed a wager on this market and will explain my reasoning by the end of this post.

Randy Orton was 23/20 to leave the competition in the quarter finals and was also this price to leave in the semis. He was 6/4 to make it to the last match of the tournament.

Seth Rollins was EVENS to make it to the tournament final. A winning wager on a semi-final loss was priced 6/4 and a departure following the first stage of the tourney was 13/10.

As noted, I came across these markets at 6:30PM. At the time, I didn't notice a market for John Cena and thought that this was because of the reports that he has asked to be taken off the show due to the International Incident that has gone on with Saudi Arabia. However, by 8:30PM, his market was available to bet on.

John Cena Crown Jewel World Cup Elimination Betting

Any bets placed on John Cena will be voided. A blurb above the market reads 'Stakes refunded should the listed participant not take part as scheduled at time of bet placement'.

With Cena still confirmed for the tournament for the time being, it should come as no surprise to see his name pop up in the market where clients can place wagers on the two finalists.

WWE Crown Jewel Finalists Betting

What I found interesting is the fact that Rey Mysterio is the favourite to be the tournament winner in the outright market yet isn't anywhere near the top of the market where you can place wagers on the final match in the tourney.

It also contradicts the 1/2 for Mysterio to be a finalist in the market I wrote about above.

That right there should be a sign that the bookmaker disagrees with how the betting has gone in favour of Rey Mysterio and they expect somebody else other than their favourite to be crowned 'The Best in the World'.

As I've written in previous posts, I believe that The Miz is the person to beat. He lost to Mysterio on last week's episode of Smackdown, so have a feeling he'll get his win back in the semi-final.

I took the 7/4 for Rey to exit the tournament in the 'Stage of Elimination' market when I came across these markets yesterday.

As for the final - I haven't placed any bets on it, but think one of the joint-favourites is correct and that's the one with Rollins as Miz's opposition.

WWE will announce the Raw brackets tonight and the Smackdown brackets tomorrow. We should get a better idea after tonight because I think we're getting Hardy .vs. Miz and Mysterio .vs. Orton on Smackdown. It's just a waiting game to see what pans out with the Raw matches. There have been rumours of Bobby Lashley replacing Cena doing the rounds, but - until I know for sure - I'm just going to wait until Raw's matches are official.
