Another Look At Sky Bet's Kurt Angle Special For WrestleMania 35 Opponent

In a post published a day ago, I pointed out that the oddsmakers from Sky Bet had released a market where clients could bet on who Kurt Angle will meet in a singles match at WrestleMania 35.

With it being almost twenty-fours since the post was published, I've checked back in with the market to note any changes that have been made.

When I first came across the market, I felt that Baron Corbin was a conspicuous absence because - in storyline - he does make sense to go up against Kurt Angle seeing as they have had a feud going on dating back to last year.

Corbin is now available. He's 5/1. However, looking at the market, it's another name that makes sense who has shortened since yesterday - John Cena.

Cena was a 5/4 favourite, but he's now down to EVS. His WWE debut came in a segment with Kurt Angle, so it's easy to assume that he could be the person who'll meet Angle in what is being billed as a farewell match.

WWE WrestleMania 35 Betting - Kurt Angle's Opponent

In yesterday's post, I mentioned that I had backed Finn Balor at 12/1. I took the gamble because I liked the 12/1 and thought that WWE having Balor lose the Intercontinental Title on Monday night may have been to free him up to take on Kurt Angle.

Shortly after the post, people started reacting to a WWE Network image of WrestleMania 35 with Balor in his Demon makeup.

Even though there has been one occasion in the past when Demon Balor has appeared in advertising for an upcoming WWE PPV on the WWE Network and regular Balor has appeared in graphics on WWE TV for the very same show, I have to currently go with the suggestion that we'll get Demon Balor challenging Bobby Lashley for the title.

If you recall, Balor won the strap in a handicap match by pinning Lio Rush. Therefore, now that Balor has lost the belt back to Lashley, it would make sense for Balor to go after the Intercontinental Champion and this time, as the Demon, pin the titleholder to regain the strap.

Yes, I've written my way out of thinking Balor will face Angle on April 7th...
