I've been following the favourites in both battle royal markets. For this match, the person of note is Lacey Evans. She is still a -155 favourite, but here's how I've tracked the selection's movement.

Buddy Murphy is currently a -190 favourite to successfully retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Tony Nese (+150). The champ has started off at -280 but was backed into -350 within the first couple of days. From there, Nese's price moved in, then it was back to Murphy. And so on. The Boss N Hug Connection are -150 favourites to retain their WWE Women's Tag Team Championship against The IIconics (+130), Nia Jax and Tamina (+2,000) and the Divas of Doom (+5,000).

When the market for the Triple H vs Batista match was initially priced up on March 17th, Batista fell from +230 into +180 in the first week and a bit. I found this surprising. Batista has now drifted out to +300 due to the gamblers backing Triple H recently.

WWE Universal Championship
The Universal Championship market has been one of the fascinating markets to follow for WrestleMania 35 as you can tell the punters are divided on who they believe will end up winning the match. With that said, I feel it's safe to conclude that Brock Lesnar has been the main choice. Whether they're right on the night is another thing, though!
Lesnar was +105 when I checked in last night and was -110 this morning. Rollins remains the favourite, but has moved up from -150 into -130.

The Main Event
Becky Lynch is a -475 favourite to beat Ronda Rousey (+425) and Charlotte Flair (+600) in the main event. The thing I've noticed the past few days twenty-four hours is Flair's price has dropped from +1,350. I will guess exactly why this has happened - there has been a fake news story going around which states that Ronda Rousey has a say in how tonight's match will end and wants to put Charlotte Flair over instead of Becky Lynch. If - and it's a giant IF - Flair leaves Mania as the double champion, it won't be because Rousey has chosen Flair instead of Lynch. This bunch of nonsense is why Charlotte has dropped. I'm sure of it.

And that's all for now. I'll refer back to these prices in my next 5Dimes update later today.
Prices correct as of 9AM BST. For the latest check out 5Dimes' Mania Live Lines.
Two matches which are not predictable are Lesnar vs Rollins and Styles vs Orton
ReplyDeleteI'm going with Styles and Lesnar.
What about you David ? Also do you think Drew has any chance to win ?
Nothing has changed. Still Rollins and Orton.
DeleteNo chance on Drew IMO. Reigns has had nothing in this feud and it's his first proper singles match back.
DeleteFor me 2 WWE greatest lesnar and Orton believe dat
ReplyDeleteI dnt think Seth can def lesnar clean
ReplyDeleteThe thing with Rollins is the same thing I think I joked to Abraham a few weeks ago about Rollins having 'Beast Slayer' t-shirts. There's a big 'Beast Slayer' graphic that will be used on the video screens and ring apron tonight. He has to win the match if they're going all in on that moniker.
ReplyDeletePretty sure there will be at least 3 F5 and 4 curb stomps
DeleteBarstool sports yesterday said the plan was for Styles/Orton to open the show. I’ve been on Orton with you but that placement starts to make me think Styles goes over. I believe the first five Wrestlemania’s started with a face win.
ReplyDeleteFightful Select reported that the women’s match is scheduled second. That leads me to think Boss and Hug retain although the 5Dimes line on the Iiconics has dropped like a rock. Also reporting that the Elias segment is third and Bryan/Kofi is fourth.
I’m sure I’ll be totally wrong and plans are subject to change but that makes me think Styles (face), Boss (face), Elias (heel with a face interruption and maybe an impromptu face win), and Bryan (heel). However, they could also be putting a Kofi win on early to separate it from Becky going over.
Hey ILK727 Is Barstool sports news of Styles vs Orton opening at Mania truly the plan or did they just guess that ?
DeleteRobbie Fox reported it and Sean Ross Sapp acknowledged it. Both are usually very sharp. Again, plans can change of course...I’ll let you know if I hear anything else.
DeleteI'll interject here and point out that AJ was the heel against Shane two years ago and he won the opening match.
DeleteAJ turned face immediately after that though. That match was intended to get AJ over with fans. Orton's heel run still has legs under it and isn't ending any time soon.
DeleteWhen you say immediately, you mean 48 hours. He was a heel in the match. Nice try.
Delete48 hours... As in his very next appearance.
DeleteIn the program leading into Mania, he played a heel. Shane was a babyface. AJ was the heel.
DeleteYou genuinely don't bring anything to these comments.
Or you're just genuinely bad at storyline analysis and can't stand when you're disagreed with, even when it's the odds that are doing so.
DeleteLet me know when Becky Lynch wins the men's Royal Rumble though. 🤣
Yeah, and you let me know what time Cena vs McIntyre is on tonight's card.
DeletePlus - you picked the wrong night to call me out on bad storyline analysis considering what the main event is.
WWE blowing the RKO out of nowhere spot on Smackdown tells me that Styles is winning at Mania. The shift sounds smart to me.
ReplyDeleteCrap, I forgot he was the heel. Sorry!
ReplyDelete
