Smackdown's Debut On Fox Betting Markets Opened

Brand new WWE betting markets have been published by Kambi today.  For example, customers can now place wagers on things like WWE Champion After Kofi Kingston, Universal Champion After Seth Rollins, Who Succeeds Becky Lynch for either of her Women's Championships,

Of these new markets for 2019 are specials for Smackdown's debut on Fox, which is set to happen later this year.

The first market available to customers is a prop in which people can wager on the total number of viewers of the first hour of Smackdown when it debuts on Fox on October 18th.

Its line has been set 5.5 Million with '5.5 Million or More' at even money while the 'Under 5.5 Million' is a 7/10 favourite.

The second television ratings special allows customers to wager on the 'total/average viewers for the show' meaning the average viewers for the combined hours the Fox debut lasts. This excludes any extra content that could potentially air on FS1.

There are three options: '4 Million' at EVS, '4.00 - 4.99 Million' is 7/5 and 'Over 5 Million' is 7/5. As an aside - I know that it's unlikely to land  on 5 Million exactly, but I think the third option is meant to be '5 Million or More'. I'm sure this will be amended in due course.

WWE Smackdown on Fox Debut - TV Ratings Betting

The TV ratings prop and special aren't the only things available for the Fox debut. There are three markets in which customers can place wagers on the champion who will be holding Smackdown's singles titles at the conclusion of the show.

The Smackdown Women's Championship market has Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as 9/4 joint-favourites.

As regular readers are sure to know by now, I have a feeling there will be a Money in the Bank cash-in on this show. Therefore, I have placed a small bet on the current favourite to be this year's Miss Money in the Bank - Mandy Rose. She's 10/1.

Andrade is a 7/2 favourite to leave the Staples Center as Intercontinental Champion. I don't plan to bet on this market, but I think that - based on his interactions with the current champ - Finn Balor - I think it's safe to predict an IC reign in Andrade's future.

The WWE Championship market has Roman Reigns as a 2/1 favourite. He's followed by Brock Lesnar at 7/2.

And here's another one that won't be surprising for those who've read my posts in the past...

I've placed a bet on John Cena at 6/1.

Here's why.

We still haven't had the match where Cena goes for his seventeenth world championship. His chase to get this number is something that could be used to draw in an audience for the debut show.

And there's more.

The event is being held at Staples Center - the very same building where Cena first won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXI.

It's a perfect set up. However, there are many things working against this from happening. The main one being Cena's schedule.

This idea would also contradict the theory I have of a Money in the Bank cash-in. Unless they want to have the moment ruined (which would ultimately make the Cena to be WWE Champ bet a losing one).

I'll write more about the other new markets in the coming days. You can check them out for yourself by following this link to Kambi's WWE Markets..
