5Dimes' Stomping Grounds Markets Update For Thursday Afternoon

It has been twelve hours since I last wrote about the 5Dimes Sportsbook's early WWE Stomping Grounds prices, so have checked in to note the changes that have been made.

Here's what I've found.
  • Roman Reigns has dropped to -175 from -130 for his match with Drew McIntyre. A win for the latter will now pay out at +135. He was at -110 yesterday. For what it's worth, on one hand I can see why people might think Reigns is winning (he lost against Shane McMahon 2 weeks ago), but I think that McIntyre winning here makes the most sense to me if they're going with Reigns .vs. Shane and McIntyre at Extreme Rules (yes, I'm contradicting my 'don't buy into the match listings sent to arenas' rule)
  • Speaking of my rule, Seth Rollins is still a -350 favourite to beat Baron Corbin (+250). The arena listing for Extreme Rules has Rollins .vs. Corbin in a table match, but it makes sense for it to be a chairs match. And I wouldn't be surprised if the person in this match will be whoever is the special referee on Sunday night. As I wrote yesterday, I would gamble on it being AJ Styles.
  • Bayley (-490) .vs. Alexa Bliss (+330) is unchanged
  • Becky Lynch is down to -260 from -190 in the WWE Raw Women's Championship match. A win for Lacey Evans has now been pushed out to +180 from +150. This is another market in which I think the outsider gets the result
  • WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston, has been cut from -1,050 into -1,260 while Dolph Ziggler has moved up to +620 from +550
  • Ricochet has lowered from +180 into +120 to win the US Championship match against Samoa Joe. The champion remains a favourite, but his price has drifted to -160 from -260. This is another one where I disagree with the move as I think Joe has to win here. Or at least walk away with the strap
  • Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have moved in from -120 to -155 for their match against The New Day (up from -120 to +115)
  • Tony Nese is now at -310 from -260 to successfully retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in the triple threat match. His opponents, Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak, have stalled at +445 and +400 respectively. Those looking to fade Nese can now find 'The Field' at +230. This is an increase from +180
  • Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan are still -350 over Heavy Machinery (+250) in the Smackdown Tag Team Championship market
Odds correct as of 12:15PM BST and taken from The 5Dimes Sportsbook.

  1. Why should Becky already lose the Title? She is the favorite to be on the WWE2k20 Cover? Makes only sense with still the Title.

    1. First, it's to win the match. A win sets up Lacey for a stip match at Extreme Rules.

Second - I never go by what the video game cover is. It's been one of my rules from day one because the video game people aren't booking the shows/champions.

    2. Third, it's a bit silly to ask 'Why should Becky already lose the title?' when they already had her lose one of the two belts she won in April.

    3. Four - I have a feeling Lacey Evans is getting the title soon because I have a feeling Netflix/WWE is going to have something set up to coincide with the launch of GLOW on the same weekend as SummerSlam.

Lacey Evans is similar to the main babyface in the programme (Libery Bell) so I have a feeling the GLOW actresses might be supporting whoever Lacey is facing at SummerSlam.

That one is a huge guess on my part.
