NXT TakeOver: War Games 2019 Star Ratings Results And How Kambi's O/U Markets Will Be Settled

The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was released today. This edition features Dave Meltzer's reviews of the events from Survivor Series weekend.

With Meltzer's report of NXT TakeOver: War Games 2019 now published, the oddsmakers from Kambi will now be able to settled star ratings over/under markets that were released for the bouts on the main portion of Saturday's card.

In this post, I'll take a look back at how the betting went and then see how the markets will be settled.

To start, here's an at a glance look at the lines, stars and the result for the respective markets.

NXT TakeOver: War Games 2019 Observer Star Ratings Betting Results

Women's War Games Match
Dave Meltzer gave the Women's War Games match four-and-a-quarter stars. This meant that it went 'Over' Kambi's line of 3.75 Stars.

As you'll be able to see - in the table below - the odds for the eventual winner declined from 13/10 down to 17/20 between the day the market was first created (November 16th) and the morning of the event.

I had one last look at the market at 11:30PM GMT on Saturday night and the prices were still

Triple Threat For #1 Contender To NXT Championship
The triple threat match - featuring Pete Dunne, Killian Dane and Damian Priest - to determine a number one contender to Pete Dunne's NXT Championship had a line of 4.25 Stars. Meltzer's grade went below that number as he gave the match, which saw Dunne win, three-and-a-half stars.

The 'Under' was 9/10 when the market was first published. It was down to 3/4 on the morning of the event and was still at that number when I checked late half an hour before the event started.

Finn Balor .vs. Matt Riddle
When Kambi installed a market for the Finn Balor versus Matt Riddle match, Kambi had the line at 4.5 Stars. However, by November 21st, the bookmakers had snipped it to 4.25,

The 'Under' won whether anybody took it with the line at 4.5 or 4.25 as Meltzer graded the bout four stars in the review.

As you can see, the 'Under' was 7/10 when the line was at 4/5. It was then 4/5 with the 4.25 level and was lowered to 3/4 on the morning of the event.

Men's War Games Match
The line for the men's War Games match was set at 4.5 when it was created on November 16th. The bookmaker's estimate was correct as Meltzer's opinion of the match fell on 'Exactly 4.5 Stars'.

The selection was available at odds of 23/10 from November 16th right up to the night of the event.

Dave Meltzer's review of the following night's WWE Survior Series PPV was also in the issue. I'll cover the Kambi star ratings markets for the event in other posts this weekend.
