More About Mania 36

It looks like my instinct that WWE will end up prerecording the WrestleMania 36 matches and then air them as if they're live - that I wrote about earlier this week - might have been spot on.

John Pollock, from PostWrestling.com, has reported that WWE is planning to tape a plethora of matches over the coming days in order to have things in the can for upcoming episodes.

The reporter notes that one source told him that Mania matches are likely going to done along with the TV matches. However, a second source was unsure whether the Mania matches will be taped ahead of their April 4th and 5th airings.

In my opinion, if they have to do Mania (I personally don't think they should), then this route makes the most sense logically as we're obviously in a period where nobody knows what's going to happen next.

Another thing about the two-day WrestleMania 36 broadcast concerns which matches will be on which day. I have seen articles state that WWE.com has listed the matches. I'm not saying those articles are false because they come from websites I would consider reliable (Fightful.com), it's just that - when I went to look on the WWE website for any indication of match dates - I couldn't find them.

They could still be there, they could have been taken down. However, here's what has been reported:

Saturday's matches:  Brock Lesnar .vs. Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley .vs. Charlotte Flair, The Undertaker .vs. AJ Styles and Seth Rollins .vs. Kevin Owens

Sunday's matches: Goldberg .vs. Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch .vs. Shayna Baszler, John Cena .vs. Bray Wyatt

I surmise that - if the above is the plan - that the Sunday card will include the Edge versus Randy Orton bout once it's confirmed.

On Twitter, I noticed that Roman Reigns has been hyping up being the main event. He pointed out that one of the main event spots will obviously be taken but he and Goldberg are getting the other one. This prompted Edge to respond by indicating that his match with Orton is 'the real main event'.

To pull this back to betting, Sky Bet has now closed its market in which customers could gamble on 'Who Will Contest The Main Event' in the 'last match at WrestleMania 36'.

For weeks, the Lesnar .vs. McIntyre match was favourite over the Universal Championship contest. Both those matches were followed by Edge .vs. Randy Orton when I last checked in on them yesterday morning.

If the market is still in play now that the event has been split, and if the reports are accurate, then the favourite could end up being a losing bet considering it's scheduled for Saturday. This obviously leaves the other two as potential winners.

Unless, of course, it's Becky Lynch versus Shayna Baszler or John Cena versus Bray Wyatt.
