AEW Dynamite Beats WWE NXT In May 6th Wednesday Night Viewership Battle

AEW Dynamite beat WWE NXT with 732,000 viewers to WWE's 663.000.

The result means that three proposition markets - created by the Kambi Group - will now be settled.

The first market I'll focus on is the head-to-head special that asked customers to bet whether or not NXT would beat its competitor by 50,000 viewers or higher. This obviously didn't happen with AEW winning outright.

Going by the betting, it appears that the consensus felt that the gap would not be 50,000 viewers because the 'No' went from 9/10 into 4/6 by Tuesday lunchtime and was then at an even shorter 3/5 yesterday afternoon.

Two regular Over/Under proposition markets will be settled.

For WWE NXT, Kambi asked its customers whether the show would have a total average audience of 0.7 Million viewers or more. The winning selection - 'No' - was 9/10. The favourite - 'Yes' - lost at odds of 4/5.

The one for AEW Dynamite asked customers to gamble whether or not tonight's viewership result would point to the programme having a total average of 660,000 viewers.

'Yes' will win as a favourite. It was 4/5 when I found the market on Sunday evening. The selection dropped into 7/10 by Tuesday and was down to 8/13 yesterday afternoon, so - once again - the consensus appears to have backed the correct side.
