Randy Orton Now A Favourite In WWE TLC 2013 Betting, But Is It For Naught?

The back-and-forth betting action on tomorrow night's main event at WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2013 has seen WWE champion - Randy Orton -  move into the role of favourite in the past number of hours.

Is this proof he will win, and ultimately unify both his title and the World heavyweight championship? I'm not convinced.

Not until the betting indicates it.

Orton's odds have moved from -125 to -280 (1.36 EU, 9/25 UK) since last night. In this betting period, John Cena's price has shifted from -115 to +200 (3.00 EU, 2/1 UK) at 5Dimes.com.

A look at the other matches on tomorrow's card seems to indicate that major money has already landed on some of the outcomes expected. For instance, AJ Lee's price has gone from -245 to -2450 and The Wyatt Family from -230 to -2750.

It's only the main event odds that don't seem to have made an incredible increase which plays into the feeling, felt by many, that tomorrow's show will conclude with neither Orton or Cena as the unified champion.

The last time the betting odds made significant changes in all but the main event was in October for the Battleground pay-per-view.

On that night, I noted how the prices for both Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan didn't change as much as the other matches on the card. Hindsight proved that my observation was accurate as the result ended in a no contest meaning all bets were struck off as void.

We'll have to wait and see how Tables, Ladders & Chairs plays out but the past example leads one to suspect a similar result from a betting perspective.
