Thoughts On WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2013 Betting

Here are a few thoughts and observations from last night's pay-per-view.

The AJ Win
When the news broke via Wrestling Observer Radio that AJ Lee was in hot water with the company, a number of bets must have been placed around all the gambling websites as the match was taken down everywhere but 5Dimes.com.
It would have made for an interesting story had the company punished the Divas champion by having her lose the match as the Thursday bettors would have taken a hit on the result.
With that said, the Sunday gamblers who had made speculative punts on Lee - that evidently forced the books to suspend betting on that match - came out the losers.

Dolphins' 'Misinformation'
The Reddit/Twitter user - Dolphins1925 - had one pick wrong last night. He incorrectly told his followers that his informant had told him the Real Americans would win the Fatal Four-way match.
This misinformation, as Dolphins put it, once again raises suspicion that Dolphins, or the informant, are simply looking at the betting odds to give out the picks.
Due to the match being announced on Friday, none of the books had set lines for it. The alleged informant - if he is picking from the betting board - would have been choosing the winners blindly.

Orton's Odds

The most interesting aspect of the night was how the odds for Randy Orton made a dramatic late swing just as the PPV was commencing.

I had checked the price for the participants in the main event at around 12:40am GMT and John Cena was a -140 favourite with Orton a mild underdog at even odds.

Within twenty minutes, the eventual winner had been installed at -750 with Cena way out at a price of +450.

If we're to believe that my assumption was right, and the insider money did land on Thursday evening, it's possible that those with knowledge of the finishes did not have the main event conclusion cemented in until Sunday.

All other favourites from the late Thursday betting action were winners.
