A Look At Paddy Power's WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Opening Odds

The WWE Royal Rumble 2014 odds were posted at PaddyPower.com not so long ago so I thought I would take a look through the matches as well as a special proposition bet that is available.

The first match on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page is the tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The current champions - The Rhodes Brothers - are priced up as 1/6 (1.17 EU, -600 US) favourites whilst The New Age Outlaws are longshots at 7/2 (4.50 EU, +350 US).

Daniel Bryan is favoured in his contest against Bray Wyatt. The latter is currently available with odds of 11/5 (3.20 EU, +220 US) with Bryan at 3/10 (1.30 EU, -333 US).

The Big Show sees himself as an underdog in his battle against Brock Lesnar. Show has long odds of 7/1 (8.00 EU, +700 US) to overcome his bitter rival, who is currently marked at 1/18 (1.06 EU, -1800 US).

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton is odds-on favourite to defeat his challenger, John Cena. The current champ can be bet at 1/7 (1.14 EU, -700 US) with the ex-champion priced at 4/1 (5.00 EU, +400 US).

Paddy Power have twenty names listed to win the thirty-man battle royal. At the top of the list is the returning Batista who is overall favourite at 8/13 (1.62 EU, -162.50 US). Behind him on the betting board is CM Punk (2/1 UK, 3.00 EU, +200 US) with Roman Reigns following in third at 8/1 (9.00 EU, +800 US).

On the subject of Reigns, the member of The Shield is the favourite in a special Royal Rumble proposition bet where PaddyPower.com is accepting wagers on the wrestler who eliminates the most participants. Reigns' odds for this special bet are currently set at 6/4 (2.50 EU, +150 US).
