To give full credit to Keiran B, here's one of the messages left in one of the comment boxes on this blog:
Il give you the full story on Paige vs Tamina....around midnight paige odds went from -11000 to -6000 then around 230am to -4500 then around 3am to -1750 then around 4am to -500 and soon after back up to -650 and has settled on that ever since....either Tamina has been backed by inside betting or a domino effect and the latter is more feasible i think since Tamina isnt the favourite at the moment....also would be harsh on Paige losing her belt at her first ppv!! But then again was she really suppose to win it and keep it since aj lee was going to take time off anyway!!
I made my own final check of all the Extreme Rules betting odds at midnight before heading off to bed. As the comment above indicate, at that time Paige was -4500. At the time of this post, her price is -350 (1.29 EU, 2/7 UK).
Therefore, the late Friday bettors were wagering on Tamina Snuka to win the match.
Snuka was +1500 on my final check before 8am. She can currently be backed at odds of +250 (3.50 EU, 5/2 UK).
Even though this is an interesting shift - and one worth noting - I am reluctant to count this down to smart money. I have to see major shifts across other markets on the betting board to jump to a definitive conclusion.
Here is where the Friday night money went between midnight and 8am BST in all Extreme Rules 2014 wagering.
- Tamina Snuka dropped from +1500 to +250 (3.50 EU, 5/2 UK)
- Wade Barrett from -380 to -430 (1.23 EU, 10/43 UK)
- Alexander Rusev remains at -7500 (1/75 UK)
- Hornswoggle from +500 to +365 (4.65 EU, 73/20 UK)
- Cesaro to win the Triple Threat from -530 to -600 (1.17 EU, 1/6 UK)
- Bray Wyatt from -750 to -780 (1.13 EU, 5/39 UK)
- Daniel Bryan stationary on -11000 (1/110 UK)
- Evolution -170 to -230 (1.43 EU, 10/23 UK)
Thanks to Keiran B for the heads up.
Odds correct as of 8am BST. For the latest, check out the betting board at 5Dimes.eu
To be honest i think 5Dimes having Paige at -11000 opening odds was abit of a shock especially when rusev and bryan were less than that and the fact that paige just won the title coming from nxt!
