Bryan Alvarez, editor of Figure 4 Weekly Newsletter, noted the following in yesterday's update over at F4WOnline.com:
So WWE sent out a news blast to fans today that included the SummerSlam poster with John Cena and Brock Lesnar on it, seemingly giving away not only SummerSlam's main event, but obviously Sunday's Money in the Bank PPV finish. What I can tell you is that the original plan over a week ago was for Cena to win. Was told today that now that the poster is out, particularly with them pushing it hard in this news blast, there is a good chance they'll switch the finish on Sunday. From what I can gather, one way or another Brock vs. Cena for the belt is likely still headlining SummerSlam, so make of that what you will.
It was earlier this week when I read an article on the Pro Wrestling Torch website mentioning that the very same poster had appeared on the Amazon pre-order page for SummerSlam.
The image has since been taken down and replaced with the SummerSlam logo.
Cena has been backed ever since the markets were opened.
He went from 11/10 to 1/4 with Paddy Power and is currently priced at -430 (1.23 EU, 10/43 UK) with the 5Dimes Sportsbook after opening at -170.
Sky Bet - which opened Money in the Bank betting yesterday - initially had him marked up as a 4/11 fave. He's now 2/7.
Neither the inside nor underdog money seem to be playing a factor in the odds right now. I'm guessing the money is from fans who have been clued in on the SummerSlam poster having been leaked.
It sure will be interesting to see how things play out by the close of betting late tomorrow.
