I have been making regular checks of the WWE Money in the Bank 2014 betting markets at the 5Dimes Casino & Sportsbook through the day. I have been particularly interested in the odds for both of the ladder match favourites.
Firstly, the Money in the Bank briefcase favourite, Seth Rollins' odds have been falling through the day.
When I made an early observation this morning, he was priced at -260 with the sportsbook. At 3:40pm BST, the former Shield member was -380. Now, as of 6pm BST, he is -1050 (2/21 UK).
As is the case when a favourites odds shorten, the other participants' prices have increased.
The other match tells an even more intriguing story.
John Cena's price was -350 at 8am BST. It had shortened to -420 by 3:40pm and, on the most recent inspection, it had drifted to -270 (10/27 UK).
Randy Orton - who became a second favourite overnight - had been available at +200 for most of today but has now started to drift as well. He's now out at +250 (3.50 EU, 5/2 UK).
Kane, who had been +2000 since this morning has now seen action. His price has dropped down to +750 (8.50 EU, 15/2 UK).
Could it be Kane versus John Cena for the belt next month?

Is there any actual news on Bad News Barrett participating or if he is definitely out???? I mean if he was out they would have announced it by now which makes me think he will be in the match and if he his in the match he will probably win!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're going to wait until during the show apparently.
DeleteHeard it on Wrestling Observer radio today.
DeleteThere is no way in hell that Kane is winning this match. I think that punters are just speculating in a naive way!!! Orton wont win it either- he was crap as the long term champion, and he would stink up the place as a transitional champion as well! The WWE's ratings will take a serious nose dive if Orton becomes the champ- Orton is ball-achingly boring... I dont think that they will pull a swerve because Cena is the safe bet to win the MITB match- although they might have considered it due to the poster leak. Cena vs. Lesnar is box office all the way, and it is the match that would generate the most cash at Summerslam. The network's subscriptions are up for renewal and Cena is the most sensible option for the time being! They will experiment with Wyatt and Reigns in the future, after the network has been up and running for at least 12 months!!
ReplyDeleteBe careful, Paul.
DeleteI cannot make sense of the poster situation. The main event is hard to read. So many stories are out there.
Also, the network renewals are due after SummerSlam. That's why WWE want to put the belt on Lesnar so he appears in the main event of Night of Champions.
It should be an interesting PPV. I've lost a few 100 over the last few months, so I need to recoup my losses. I think that Seth Rollins is an absolute lock to win!! I think that match was set up just to give him a major rub! Rollins and high flying ladder matches are made for each other. Rollins is the poster boy for the authority so, it should be a safe bet that he will win.....The WWE championship match is very intriguing, and I think that they will stick with Cena- Wyatt has an outside chance!
DeletePaul I warned you to stay away from the main event!!!! But don't worry Cena will win since the poster was released WWE have made a statement to turn the attention away from the actual winner (Cena) and say they will add a swerve to change the results but in all honesty don't think they can afford to!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think that they can afford to either, Kieran. Cena is their cash cow and his biceps translate into bankrolls- its as simple as that! They might pull a swerve, but id say that the odds are slim. I think that Wyatt would be an interesting choice- there are lots of fans behind him!!!
