How Tribute To The Troops Might Have Moved A Line

In a follow up to this morning's post where I looked at the early round of WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2014 betting, it might be worth noting a possible reason why odds for the Dean Ambrose versus Bray Wyatt TLC match changed since they were initially published.

Earlier today, I noted that Wyatt's odds had gone from +105 to -110 (1.91 EU, 10/11 UK) with his opponent's moving from -145 to -130 (1.77 EU, 10/13 UK). When I made the observation, I wrote:

Ambrose is slightly favoured over Wyatt. However, the heel's price dropping from positive to negative would lead to suspect that - at some point over the past day - he had been backed by the fans.

A look at a spoiler for this year's Tribute to the Troops special could highlight a reason why the price changed.

On the show, which is scheduled to air a week from today, Dean Ambrose defeats Bray Wyatt in a boot camp match. It's possible that the fans, knowing how WWE writers like balanced booking, are making speculative punts on Ambrose losing on Sunday in order for him to appear to get his revenge three days later.
