Update On Betfair's Rock Prop Bet

In the most recent post, I noted that Betfair.com had published a prop bet where customers could bet on whether The Rock will make an in-ring appearance at WrestleMania 31 this Sunday.

At the time of writing, the company did not have any odds available despite the market being viewable under 'USA' on the Sportsbook's Special Page.

The prices for the prop are now live. With 'Yes, he will make an appearance in the ring' being an 8/11 shot. The alternate choice - him not making an appearance in the ring - is EVENS.

The Rock is going to be guest hosting Saturday Night Live from New York the evening before WrestleMania. In a recent interview, the star remained coy about his plans for Sunday.

If there is any chance that he will wrestle Brock Lesnar at next year's WrestleMania, I think it's a decent shot that he will be there this week to start something towards 2016. Therefore, the 8/11 price is appealing.

  1. When do the bookies normally close for taking bets on PPV's?

    1. It varies.

Some close early. Sky Bet remains open right up to the start of the show and 5Dimes' prices remain open right up to the start of the match.
