Ziggler's Win

Dolph Ziggler's win over Sheamus at Extreme Rules was the first underdog cover of the night.

When I ranked the pay-per-view favourites in order of strength as I usually do, I made sure to add the odds this month. I sensed the bottom two matches on the list were the result of fan/bettor money rather than inside action.

Seth Rollins -2,300
John Cena -2,000
Roman Reigns -2,000
Nikki Bella -1,200
Sheamus -600
Dean Ambrose -530

The Dean Ambrose versus Luke Harper match is still technically in progress.

Now that an outsider has won, I would not be surprised if fans start thinking 'scripts must have changed' or something like that and decide to bet on all the underdogs remaining on the board.

I do not recommend doing this.

What this appears to be is the inside bettors did not wager on the Kiss Me Arse and Chicago street fight matches.

The insiders have been betting tonight. The New Day's odds swinging in the latter stages of the betting period should be enough to prove that.

That's my take, anyway.

  1. plus Nikki Bella swung from -120 at the start of the day to -1200, that's a huge shift.

  2. Just wanted to give you a heads up that Sky Bet did release odds for Barrett vs Neville after it was confirmed on wwe.com that the match would happen...Barrett was 1/5 opening and then 2/5 closing Neville was 4/1 opening and then 7/4 closing...probably the easiest one to predict as well

    1. Wow, I didn't see that.

That's quite crazy considering they always have the babyface win a substitute match.
