Ric Flair & Kurt Angle New Additions To Betfair's WWE 2016 Royal Rumble Market

Two new names have been added to the Betfair Sportsbook's WWE 2016 Royal Rumble outright market at Betfair.com.

Ric Flair has been installed as a 100/1 shot while Kurt Angle is priced 66/1.

Flair retired from wrestling in the WWE ring at WrestleMania XXIV and the company appears to want to stick to this stipulation.

He would also have to pass a physical and even if he did, the company would still be reluctant to put him in a match following on from the near-tragedy when Jerry Lawler collapsed of a heart attack on live television.

Even if all these boxes were ticked, it still wouldn't make any sense whatsoever for Flair to win the match, so it's all a moot point.

The odds are spot on - he is a long shot.

Of the two, Kurt Angle has a better chance of winning. However, that isn't stating much.

Angle - who is currently employed by TNA Wrestling - was more than likely added to the list based on the news that TNA might be losing its television deal in the USA. If this were to happen, it could spell the end for TNA and will leave Angle looking for a new employer.

The problem with that idea is Angle left WWE under controversy due to personal issues. It's worth noting that when his TNA contract was up for renewal a while back, WWE didn't show much interest in taking him.

That should speak volumes as to the chances of him returning and winning the Royal Rumble next year.

As with Ric Flair, Kurt Angle would also require medical clearance to wrestle for WWE. That too could be a stumbling block based on all the injuries he has encountered in his amateur and professional wrestling.

Brock Lesnar remains at 3/1 to be the winner of January's battle royal. Next to him on the list are Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns who are 7/2 and 9/2 respectively.

Betfair's WWE Royal Rumble 2016 outright odds can be found under 'USA' in the 'Special Bets' section of the Betfair Sportsbook.
