Wrestling Observer Notes About Austin & Flair Over SummerSlam Weekend

There is an update on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's website concerning both 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Ric Flair that may be of interest to those who have bet on the 'SummerSlam Appearance' props at both PaddyPower.com and Betfair.com.

In regards to Austin and the chance of him making an in-ring appearance at SummerSlam on Sunday:

'Despite being in Brooklyn, NY, former WWE Champion and overall mega-star 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin will not be sticking around for Saturday's NXT show or the big event on Sunday. For those that thought he might do an appearance of some sort on the four-hour monolith, that won't be the case.'

Austin had been in the city to promote the upcoming WWE video game that comes out later this year.

As for Ric Flair, the article states:

'..another wrestling star will be around as "Nature Boy" Ric Flair is in Brooklyn and should be around for the shows. No word on whether he'll actually be seen on camera for NXT or SummerSlam, but as they (say), stay tuned.'

The Paddy Power Sportsbook has been taking bets on Steve Austin appearing in-ring during the show. His price on not being there is now 8/15. It had been 5/6 yesterday afternoon.

Betfair is taking bets on Ric Flair appearing in-house during the PPV. He's 6/1. For this to cash in he has to appear within the arena and not in backstage skits.
