Wrestler To Draw Number 30 Betting

The sportsbooks at 32Red.com, 888Sport.com and Unibet.com have released yet another prop market for the upcoming Royal Rumble. This time customers can bet on the wrestler who will end up being drawn as the thirtieth entrant into the battle royal.

It's an extensive list with odds ranging from 5/2 right down (or should that be up?!) to 1,000/1.

Triple H is the favourite. Next up is Sheamus at 9/2, Brock Lesnar at 5/1 & Roman Reigns and John Cena are 13/2 each.

Until I see anything on Raw to sway my mind over the next fortnight, I am still undeterred in my opinion that Triple H will win the Royal Rumble. I think we'll have a better idea where things are going on the January 4th episode of Raw. Don't be surprised if my opinion changes from January 5th onward.

I have backed one person on this list and it's more for fun than anything. It's the longest longshot I have ever bet on, so if you are going to follow me (and I don't blame you if you don't) bear in mind that this bet I am about to explain has a minute chance of cashing.

I've placed £1 on X-Pac to be the thirtieth wrestler because the odds are too tempting for a small stake.

My reasoning in making this play is:

1) He's 1,000/1
2) He's Triple H's friend both in storyline and real-life and it could play into HHH's win by having a friend come in for an assist during the match
3) There have been Clique (I'm Old Skool, The Kliq were HBK's fans when I was a lad and 'The Clique' was how the actual group of friends were referred to in the newsletters) members inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame over the past two years. It's only a matter of time before Sean Waltman is another inductee. I originally thought it would have been on the weekend of a WrestleMania in Minnesota, but there is a shadow of doubt over the event being held in the city now. Waltman can fit into this year's class as he used to work for the GWF (Global Wrestling Federation) which was based in Dallas. An appearance at the Rumble might be a way to reacquaint him with the audience.

There's one huge obstacle in the way of Waltman ever wrestling for WWE again, let alone competing in the 2016 Royal Rumble, and that is due to him contracting Hepatitis C years ago.

He has wrestled outside of WWE, but he would require medical clearance before he can do so with WWE.

Like I've noted, at 1,000/1 and for a pound stake, it's just a fun punt that will keep me glued to the screen as the event unfolds. That's what these prop markets are all about, to be fair.

The market is available from the three sportsbooks listed in the opening paragraph. A banner for one of the companies can be found below. These banners are for new customers to take advantage of welcome deals.
