Bray Wyatt's Rumble Winner Odds Begin To Fall

Bray Wyatt's odds to win this Sunday's WWE Royal Rumble have started to come in across many bookmaking websites in Europe and off-shore.

Over at 5Dimes.com, the leader of The Wyatt Family's price has fallen from +1500 to +1200. As for European sportsbooks - his price has been readjusted. For example, he was 16/1 with Betfair.com in the early hours of this morning but is now down to 9/2.

The price fall can be attributed to the publication of this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. In an article previewing the Royal Rumble and beyond, Dave Meltzer noted that if the company decides to put a heel over in the Rumble - and if it isn't Triple H - one move that would make sense is Bray Wyatt.

Meltzer mentioned in the piece that the Triple H versus Roman Reigns main event at WrestleMania could very well not be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

In my opinion - as WWE tends to prefer a babyface chasing the title into Mania - and if it isn't Reigns - then Wyatt holding the championship with Brock Lesnar as the number one contender is something that would explain the Wyatts being booked strongly on WWE TV lately. Also, a Brock Lesnar versus Bray Wyatt match looks better on paper if there is something at stake.

With that said, I still believe Triple H returning to rob Roman Reigns of the WWE Championship is the more compelling thing the company can do on Sunday.

However, if you are looking to back Bray Wyatt for the Rumble win, the best European oddsmaker price available as of the time of publishing is the 10/1 from Bwin.com. US visitors can back him at +1500 via Bovada's Entertainment Betting Page.

  1. I can see Lesnar eliminating the Wyatts mid match & they return to eliminate him towards the end. Cant see Bray winning at all. But if HHH doesnt win it & a heel does, then I do agree it should be Bray. I think it all goes back to that Raw in England. Reigns with the title over his shoulder with HHH beside him. Thats your main event for Mania.

    1. That's sort of what I thought they'd do.

Have the gang of Wyatts prevent Lesnar from winning and then he mows through them on the shows before Mania until he finally gets to Bray.
