The further I wrote, the more I realised the idea of second guessing what the narrator was on about became complex. I gave up figuring the 'Six' number was a random digit the writers came up with.
All I can state right now is there are three former victors set to face Reigns on Sunday. They are Alberto Del Rio, Brock Lesnar and Sheamus.
I would not be surprised at all if the writer used Big Show when he or she was doing their calculation. If I recall correctly, they did an angle out of the 2000 Royal Rumble where they claimed that Show should have been the winner and was granted a match against The Rock on the following PPV.
All in all - it was a wasted effort.
Or was it?
While doing some more research on the first ever Rumble winner - Jim Duggan - and whether there was any chance he'll be involved in this year's show, I found out that he will in fact be in Florida this weekend after all.
Earlier this month, I wrote that I was unsure whether he still lived in Florida but thought he was worth betting on him in Betfair.com's Royal Rumble Participation prop bet. He was 50/1 when I first brought your attention to it. His odds have since fallen to a still reasonable 10/1.
This year's Rumble takes place in Orlando. The day before, Duggan will be at a Legends Of Wrestling meet and greet event in Miami.
He's not the only wrestler that will be there on Saturday. The poster can be viewed below:
Of the cast of names on the poster - Jim Duggan, Scott Steiner and Bill Goldberg are available in Betfair.com's Rumble Participation prop market.
I've already noted that 'Hacksaw' is 10/1. The other two, Bill Goldberg and Scott Steiner, are 10/1 and 25/1 respectively.
I highly doubt the company will bring in Goldberg unannounced for a Rumble appearance. As for Steiner, I have placed a £2 bet on him at 25/1 but that too is a longshot chance. It was only a short while ago that he was on WWE security's radar as a possible threat to one of the recent Hall of Fame ceremonies.
Seriously.
Of the three, I think Duggan is the best bet (if you can call it that). He falls into the 'Former Rumble Winner' card the company evidently likes to play. He could very well be one of the six I was trying to figure out in the now deleted post.
Betfair's WWE odds are found under 'Special Bets' on the A-Z menu at Betfair.com.
